Integrations

Email on Acid’s website doesn’t mention any integrations besides ESPs (email service providers), but the solution does provide an API.  Litmus integrates with ESP and has a solid list of other built-in integration options, including software such as Slack, HubSpot, Trello, Salesforce etc. Due to this, the latter solution holds a clear advantage in this area.

Pricing

Email on Acid has three plans:

  • The Basics – $99/month ($74/month with annual billing). A plan for 1 user, with unlimited testing and projects
  • Premium – $179/month ($134/month with annual billing). A plan for up to 3 users
  • Enterprise – Custom pricing and users

Litmus has three pricing plans:

  • Individuals – $99/month ($79/month with annual billing). A basic plan with 1 user and up to 1000 email previews/month
  • Small teams – $199/month ($159/month with annual billing). A more advanced option for up to 5 users, with 2000 email previews/month
  • Enterprise – Custom pricing and user and email preview numbers

Overall, the pricing is similar. Email on Acid has a slight edge when comparing second-tier subscriptions (though the number of allowed users is also smaller – three compared to five). However, this is only half the picture. There are two other factors to consider:

  1. Unlike Email on Acid, Litmus email platform doesn’t offer unlimited testing – with the latter, you have to adhere to strict limits and pay overcharges for each email that goes over them
  2. Litmus has a more comprehensive feature set – the price/feature ratio is, therefore, in this solution’s favor

To decide which is a better deal, you must thoroughly analyze your business needs (number of users and emails to test monthly, required features etc.).

Customer support

Email on Acid provides a decent help center (including training videos), documentation and ticket and chat support. Companies that choose the Enterprise plan also get a dedicated support representative.

Litmus has a help center with written and video materials, and the company provides support via email, chat or phone. There’s no option for a dedicated support representative. Still, highest-tier subscribers get access to dedicated account management with training tailored to their needs and a manager who can help them optimize their email strategies.

Both companies have their strengths here, but Litmus has an overall advantage in support contact options and the variety of services.
